Middleton Beach Huts

On the weekend, one half of Pod & Pea was lucky enough to spend some time at the Middleton Beach Huts on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Let me first  say: this place is as cute as a button! The village has 12 huts available for hire in total, each  with their own colour palette and personality, and they all nail the shabby chic style to a T. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home by the super friendly hosts, who made it so easy to want to recommend this gorgeous little place!

While I was there, the venue was setting up for an event, and I was struck by the fact that this place would make a gorgeous wedding venue. It’d be the perfect place to host an intimate garden ceremony, followed by a sit down dinner in the on site restaurant Blues. The restaurant can cater for up to 100 for a sit down dinner and 150 for cocktail style. In Summer particularly, the ambiance of this place would be extraordinary.

The Beach Huts would also make a great location for a milestone birthday party or other celebration…  Imagine having 30 of your closest friends shack up in the one venue,  yet still having the privacy we sometimes need on group holidays.

While we were down that way, we also took the opportunity to call into the Abp Alice Bell studio in Port Elliot. Alice is a very talented photographer and can provide valuable local knowledge for locations to have your wedding photos…. Check out her site if you are looking for a photographer in this region.

The Fleurieu Peninsula offers so many lovely wedding venues and we plan to showcase some more soon, so stay tuned.
